Despite launching over two weeks ago, Hogwarts Legacy sales numbers are still dominating the UK charts. In fact, physical sales of the new Harry Potter game have beaten out four new releases, taking the top spot.
Hogwarts Legacy sales figures top UK charts
According to GfK’s UK boxed charts (via GamesIndustry.biz), Hogwarts Legacy achieved a third consecutive week at the top spot. This is despite sales figures falling by 51{d0f68332078ae50ae5cd49ede95b9d76bcf00fa473a5a7068cdab9d644705628} compared to the previous week.
One of the games sitting beneath Hogwarts Legacy in the weekly sales charts is Atomic Heart, which finds itself at position 7 beneath console-exclusive titans God of War Ragnarok, Mario Kart 8 Deluxe, and perpetual titles like FIFA 23.
Not only has the new Harry Potter game beaten the likes of Atomic Heart, but it has also topped the charts ahead of Octopath Traveler 2, Like a Dragon: Ishin!, and Kirby’s Return to Dream Land Deluxe. In fact, Hogwarts Legacy is confirmed to be Warner Bros. Games’ biggest-ever global launch.
With so much success surrounding the first game, it’s unsurprising to hear that there’s the possibility of a Hogwarts Legacy 2 being brainstormed over at Warner Bros. Games.
Will Hogwarts Legacy be able to hold on for another week? Only time will tell.
