How to set Active Duty Operator Slots in DMZ

One of the biggest changes coming to Warzone 2 DMZ is Active Duty Operator Slots. These new Active Duty Operators Slots may be confusing at first, but once you know what they are, you’ll be grateful for their existence.

What Are Active Duty Operator Slots in DMZ?

Active Duty Operator Slots are specific “saves” or “load outs” that you can use in the Exclusion Zone. Every player starts with three Active Duty Operator Slots and can earn more by completing missions.

Active Duty Operator Slots make it so you can build up a specific Operator by being more careful and getting better gear, maybe through the new Barter System. When they come back with the best Backpack and Plate Carrier, you can take on smaller, more risky missions with a different Active Duty Operator Slot so that you don’t lose everything you’ve built up on the other Active Duty Operator Slot.

How to Use Active Duty Operator Slots in DMZ

Before you deploy, you’ll select your Active Duty Operator Slot. Then, you’ll play through a match of DMZ and, hopefully, successfully exfil. If you do, your Active Duty Operator Slot will hold onto your Primary Weapon, Secondary Weapon, Lethal, Tactical, Field Upgrade, and Keys. Contraband Weapons are shared between Active Duty Operator Slots, but Keys are not.

That is how you use the Active Duty Operator Slots — you can keep your good gear for longer by keeping an Active Duty Operator Slot reserved for the harder missions since they have the best gear and using another Active Duty Operator Slot for the more reckless missions since they aren’t kitted with your best equipment.

Overall, the addition of Active Duty Operator Slots is a great improvement to DMZ. This addition offers more player choice when it comes to how they want to deploy and play the game.
