As you can see, the new Home does look a fair bit cleaner, and there is more space for a personalized background. To simplify the Home screen, Microsoft says it changed the layout by putting games you’ve recently played and other content and apps towards the bottom of the screen. At the top of the Home screen, you’ll find a convenient menu that lets you quickly access your game Library, Microsoft Store, Xbox Game Pass, Search, and Settings.

Microsoft also notes that there is “an option to change your background to match the game you are highlighting in the recently played list” and that the new Home screen “improves game discovery by introducing lists of games curated and personalized for you.” You will also be able to customize the Home page by pinning your favorite games, groups, and system groups.
The Friends & Community Updates tab has also been slimmed down, and the new Home also shows you “what media apps and content are available to you via a Watch & Listen spotlight and list of entertainment apps.”
The new Home experience is apparently rolling out to a “subset of all Xbox consoles,” and some users may need to wait a few weeks for the update to hit.
