Localisation company Altagram has issued an apology after it emerged that some of the staff who contributed to Baldur’s Gate 3 translation had not been credited.
In a post on Twitter, the firm said that it takes full responsibility for leaving out freelancers who helped with the projected. Altagram went on to detail seven key policies it’ll be sticking to in future to ensure that staff are appropriately credited.
Word that Baldur’s Gate 3 credits were incomplete emerged after localiser Marc EG posted on Twitter about the work of some translators missing. As reported by Eurogamer, the game’s developer Larian Studios blamed Altagram, adding that it has “compelled them to fix this”.
“We take full responsibility for the omissions of our freelancers’ names and apologise for the effects that it had,” Altagram wrote.
“We are learning from this experience and are reviewing the failures of our internal processes regarding credits. We would like to thank Larian for allowing us to quickly fix that error and update the credits section. The names of the Brazilian Portuguese translators will be included in an upcoming patch to the game.”
