Marvel 1943: Rise Of Hydra is the upcoming title from former Uncharted director Amy Hennig’s studio Skydance New Media, and now it has a publisher in Plaion.
Prior to this announcement it was unclear who would be publishing Rise of Hydra. Skydance was set to develop it, and while it was working with huge IP’s there hadn’t been clear communication on who was taking up the publishing reigns. That question has now been answered with a statement released by both companies.
It’s a global publishing partnership between Plaion and Skydance, one that, for Skydance’s part, co-president Julian Beak says “Plaion is the perfect publishing partner for the multiplatform, worldwide release of Marvel 1943: Rise of Hydra.”
“For our studio’s debut title, we’re crafting an original Marvel story directed by Amy Hennig. We’re thrilled to have found a global publisher that shares our ambitious vision for the project.”
On Plaion’s side of the deal, chief executive officer Klemens Kundratitz says “We are proud to partner with Skydance Games and industry legend Amy Hennig on what is one of the most anticipated AAA games currently in development.
This partnership between two ambitious independent companies is a testament to Plaion’s ongoing mission to become a global force in videogame publishing.”
Marvel 1943: Rise Of Hydra doesn’t yet have a proper release date, but it is set to arrive sometime in 2025.
