Elon Musk Confirms He Will ‘Look Into’ PlayStation & Xbox Twitter Integration Being Removed

Following news that PlayStation will be removing the ability to share content on Twitter (or X as it’s now known as), Elon Musk has revealed that he will ‘look into’ the reason why integration for the social media platform is being removed, or in Xbox’s case has already been disabled.

While Sony and Microsoft haven’t given a reason for disabling the feature, it is believed to be related to the changing to Twitter’s API, which means that larger companies using the platform — such as console format holders — will have to pay a large sum of money to access the API.

Musk’s comments come following the Twitter account X News Daily posting that X’s plans to be “a major streaming platform” will “be less convenient for console players” now that both PlayStation and Xbox integration has been removed.

In response, Musk simply wrote: “I will look into this.”
