From Jurassic World to Shaun of the Dead, Funko Fusion is harnessing the power of some fantastic franchises for an action-adventure in Pop! form next year.
Things have been quiet since Funko announced that it had partnered with 10:10 Games for an unnamed AAA project last year, but now we have a teaser trailer filled with some incredible IPs and a name… Funko Fusion.
Funko Fusion is heading to console and PC in 2024
Funko Fusion is the debut title from 10:10 Games, which was founded in 2021 by a number of ex-Traveller’s Tales developers, including the former studio’s founder Jon Burton. The initial announcement featured Freddy Funko and gave absolutely nothing away, but judging by the teaser trailer above, some of the DNA from TT’s Lego games looks to have found its way into this barmy action-adventure title.
“Funko Fusion features dozens of playable characters in Funko Pop! form, each with their own unique personalities and abilities — no palette swaps here,” the official Funko website says. “Thwack the hordes with Shaun’s cricket bat, melt ’em with Childs’ flamethrower, or gleefully slash through the vinyl hordes as the maniacal Chucky. Online multiplayer adds even more chaos to the mix, allowing up to four players to team up and battle enemies from across the Funko multiverse.”
With characters from Jurassic World, Shaun of the Dead, Back to the Future, The Umbrella Academy, The Thing, Child’s Play 2, Masters of the Universe, Battlestar Galactica, and more, Funko Fusion looks like it’ll be offering up a host of franchises for a “wild new take on action-adventure games.”
Funko Fusion is expected to arrive on consoles and PC in 2024. What do you think of this funky franchise mash-up? Drop a comment below and let us know!
