Funny Starfield bug sees player Tokyo drifting across hyperspace

Starfield is about exploring the galaxy, unravelling its mysteries, but this latest bug reminds us that’s also about the most important thing — family.

Reddit user Available-Bottle9320 posted this clip of their spaceship going into hyperspace and pulling off a sick drift that wouldn’t look out of place in one of the Fast and the Furious movies. As their ship enters hyperspace, it starts to slide around to the left. Sadly the clip is quite short and cuts off before the exit hyperspace, but the visual is still excellent.

It seems to be a one-off bug, as we haven’t been able to replicate it and we haven’t seen anyone else post anything similar, but it’s funny nonetheless. It just needs a Forza Horizon-style drift score counter on the top — imagine the drift score you’d get for sliding around Alpha Centauri.

Starfield players have seen a few bugs since launch, including the puddle that let you steal everything from a nearby shop, but they’ve almost all been harmless and funny stuff like this. This is the least buggy Bethesda game we’ve seen in a long time. That has meant that players can concentrate on the important things, like smashing through all the Starfield achievements, and creating some amazing Starfield ship designs.
