Genshin Impact Yoimiya build | Pocket Tactics

Genshin Impact’s Yoimiya is a spirited, optimistic young woman who can often be found setting off fireworks to entertain the children of Inazuma. She’s a true bright spark, and that carries over to her explosive playstyle as a five-star pyro bow wielder. So grab a sparkler, it’s time to dive into our Genshin Yoimiya build, featuring her best weapons, artifacts, and more.

To stay up to date with all of the new and upcoming characters, make sure you take a look at our Genshin Impact Alhaitham, Genshin Impact Yaoyao, Genshin Impact Baizhu, and Genshin Impact Dehya guides. Then for some extra primogems, I recommend checking out our Genshin Impact codes list.

Genshin Impact Yoimiya

What’s the best Genshin Yoimiya build?

Yoimiya is a five-star pyro DPS. She certainly lacks some of the punch afforded by other DPS units like Genshin Impact’s Ganyu or Genshin Impact’s Hu Tao, and is quite replaceable – meaning, if you’re tight on primos and in desperate need of a strong DPS, she probably isn’t the best choice to pull for.

However, she’s extremely adorable, and a lot of players love her despite her not being considered ‘meta’. She is capable of dealings good damage in the right team, is very easy to play, and her wide range definitely offers a benefit when going up against enemies like Spectres or Thundering Manifestation.

She’s very fast, and capable of dealing plenty of damage to single targets, scaling well with off field DPS like Genshin Impact’s Fischl, Genshin Impact’s Beidou, and Genshin Impact’s Xingqiu. Her simple gameplay makes her a great character for people who want to just sit back and watch the fireworks, and building her is quite affordable when it comes to artifacts, weapons, and team comps.

When it comes to her negatives, she really struggles in multi-target situations, as her normal attacks can only hit one enemy at a time. In terms of competition, Genshin Impact’s Hu Tao outperforms her in single-target scenarios, and Genshin Impact’s Xiangling (a four-star, therefore an easy character to C6) outperforms her in most multi-target scenarios. She also relies on her off-field DPS, meaning you need to invest in multiple characters in order to make her viable.

Overall, Yoimiya is a truly delightful character, with an adorable design, fun, simple gameplay, and great voice actors. While she may not top the meta charts, she still had her place in the roster, and in the hearts of many of us.

What’s the best Genshin Yoimiya weapon?

For Yoimiya’s weapon choices, Thundering Pulse takes the top spot. When using Thundering Pulse, you should always aim to cast her elemental burst before her elemental skill.

Another interesting choice for Yoimiya is the Polar Star, mostly because of his high crit rate bonus effect. However, it’s main caveat is earning stacks in order to earn the attack bonus, which requires hitting an enemy with each different type of attack. Unfortunately, as her elemental skill technically doesn’t damage enemies, she can only get a maximum of three stacks, meaning she only has a 30{d0f68332078ae50ae5cd49ede95b9d76bcf00fa473a5a7068cdab9d644705628} damage buff instead of 48{d0f68332078ae50ae5cd49ede95b9d76bcf00fa473a5a7068cdab9d644705628}. We recommend only using Crimson Witch of Flames with this bow, as Shimenawa’s Reminiscence will make it difficult to pull off a burst every rotation.

Skyward Harp is another viable option in that, though somewhat unusual, its passive hits in an AoE which combats one of Yoimiya’s main limitations.

When it comes to four-star options, Rust is by far the best, and at high refinement ranks it can outperform Skyward Harp, especially with the help of Bennett’s attack buff. It’s a very worthy weapon at R5, synergising well with Yoimiya and having no conditions on its passive.

Finally we have the three-star bow, Slingshot. Amazingly, R5 Slingshot outperforms Rust R1 when combined with Bennett’s attack buff and Yoimiya is equipped with an attack{d0f68332078ae50ae5cd49ede95b9d76bcf00fa473a5a7068cdab9d644705628} sands. It has great range, and gives you a helping hand in balancing your crit ratio with its crit rate sub-stat.
