New Atelier Game, Atelier Resleriana, is Set To Be a Gacha Entry in the Mainline Series

The Atelier series is getting yet another installment. But this time, it’s a gacha game. Whether this puts fans off or not, the game admittedly looks visually stunning. However, will it be enough to keep long-term Atelier players invested?

Atelier but Gacha

The full title of the upcoming game is, and get ready for this one, “Atelier Resleriana: Forgotten Alchemy & the Liberator of Polar Night. Bit of a mouth full isn’t it? The Atelier series has never shied away from long names, but this one certainly takes the biscuit.

Anyway, the game itself is due to be released on PC, iOS, and Android in Japan. Sadly, there’s no news at the moment about a global release, but if it’s popular enough on JP servers, then we could see a launch in late 2023 or early/mid 2024.

Atelier Resleriana isn’t the first gacha game in the Atelier series, with Atelier Quest Board and Atelier Online reaching EoS.

The difference between those two titles, and this upcoming one, is that Atelier Resleriana is classed as a mainline game. The latter EoS titles were meant to be side games from the start.

This inherently has created a slight uproar amongst Atelier fans, with many disappointed that the latest mainline entry is going to be a live-service gacha rather than the usual solo console experience.

Atelier Ryza x Chain Chronicle

In other news, Atelier Ryza (an example of one of the aforementioned solo console experiences) is collaborating with Chain Chronicle.

Atelier Ryza’s anime adaptation began in early July, which has introduced the series to a ton of new people. With the show’s success, it’s no surprise that Atelier is collaborating with another popular franchise.
