Throughout the last couple of years Sony has mastered the art of media integration. The PlayStation 3’s “Dashboard” has a very easy layout with tabs for everything; such as web browsing, photos, music, videos, as well as (the reason for buying this console) games, and online game services. Which is very easy to navigate and has surpassed the competitors by allowing online game play for free, unlike on the X-Box 360.
The game play on the PlayStation 3 is remarkable. With hundreds of titles, it would be hard not to find at least one that you will fall in love with. The video game that I would have to say “go buy it now” would have to Call of Duty- Black Ops. It is a top flight game, with tons of campaigns, and a huge online platform. Once I started to play it, I just couldn’t put it down. Also, the Move motion controller, which is also available separately (Est. $50), is getting positive initial reviews, with experts saying it’s much more accurate than the remote that comes with the Wii.
Besides playing games, there are still other benefits that one should consider. One of the best features the PlayStation 3 has brought to the table is the Blu-Ray player; it makes the picture unbelievable on a HD-TV when paired with the HDMI out-put. Additional features are a big 250-300 Gigabyte hard drive, so you can download media from all of your favorite sites. The PlayStation 3 can also stream movies from Netflix, and support for Hulu Plus is being added.
In conclusion, I would have to say the PlayStation has the upper hand in the video game console world and would insist that it’s a must have product for anyone that appreciates great graphics and even better game play.
