Our latest Gameplay Chart of popular Xbox games shows Hogwarts Legacy drop out of the top three, replaced by new Game Pass launch Atomic Heart — check out the full list here!
In our last Gameplay Chart, which saw Hogwarts Legacy breaking into the top three, we mentioned how Hogwarts Legacy was a rare win for pure single-player games — now, first week data suggests Atomic Heart is 2023’s most popular Xbox launch so far. It’s also shot straight into third place on this week’s chart after joining Game Pass last week, bumping Hogwarts Legacy out; the magical RPG has now dropped to fifth. There’s a little wave of games dropping down the top ten to make room for the new addition — only Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege manages to avoid this, climbing up one spot to tenth — and it’s not until we get to 18th that things start to change. Battlefield 2042 has jumped up five spots to 18th, perhaps as players prepare for its fourth season, Eleventh Hour, which kicks off tomorrow on February 28th. It’s not as good news for Hot Wheels Unleashed, which has fallen again this week, dropping seven places to 24th, perhaps as more Game Pass players turn their attention to newer Game Pass additions.
Eiyuden Chronicle: Rising, meanwhile, is back in the top 40 at 27th after being included in the latest Xbox Game Pass weekly quests. Monster Hunter Rise, another older Game Pass addition, has slipped again this week, falling eight places to 29th, while Dead by Daylight holds firm at 30th. A little further down, we see Smite, one of the best free Xbox games, reappearing in the top 40 at 35th, while GoldenEye 007 drops ten spaces to 37th. This week’s last reappearance is The Elder Scrolls V: Skyrim Special Edition at 39th (which we rate as one of the best Game Pass games, while at 40th we have Shadow Warrior 3: Definitive Edition, another recent Game Pass title struggling to keep up with the newest additions to the service.
Looking ahead, we have a fair few games coming to Game Pass which could have a big impact on the chart, such as Wo Long: Fallen Dynasty, while later in the month we’ll see major releases like Resident Evil 4.
