The Xbox 360 Slim is the latest offering from these gaming giants. I highly anticipated update on its predecessor, it offers an unrivalled 250gb and is ram-packed with some great new features!
Microsoft’s updated design is the first thing you notice on the latest version of this iconic gaming system – the new Xbox 360 Slim has a stunning black gloss finish which really does give it an expensive, sleek look. You’ll also notice large vents on each side of the casing and a large fan hiding on the right hand side, creating a contemporary, directional design. Touch sensitive buttons also feature.
With the previous 360 model, there was a lot of debate over the noise level, likening it to the sound of a large generator. This is one of the stark improvements of the new Xbox 250gb; so good in fact, that you can hardly tell if the machine is actually turned on!
It’s HDD comes out with ease…and looks nothing like the current models hard drives! However, if you’re an owner of the last model fear not;you can transfer data from your old Xbox to the new slim version. Simply use the Microsoft data transfer cables, as they enable you to connect your old-style hard drive via USB.
Perhaps the most prominent change is the connectivity, the Xbox 360 250gb now has 802.11n Wi-Fi that’s been built-in for faster and easier connection to Xbox LIVE. You can now stream HD movies and TV or download games from Xbox LIVE in 1080p and 5.1 surround sound from anywhere in the house! A seriously impressive feature.
Microsoft’s Xbox is set dominate the rest of 2010 and the build-up towards Christmas most especially with the release of the Xbox 360 Kinect.
