Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League Delayed Again – Report

Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League is rumored to have been delayed again and will no longer be released in May 2023. While the rumors have come from multiple sources, a new release window is less certain and neither Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment nor RocksteadyStudios has commented on the delay.

Why was Suicide Squad: Kill The Justice League delayed?

The reasons for the delay are unclear, although player reception of the gameplay revealed during Sony’s last State of Play presentation was far from positive. Many were unhappy about the game’s live service features, including the always-online requirement, Battle Pass, and in-game purchases.

Others believe the game was delayed because of the competition in May and June. Just some of the big-name games it would have been competing against include The Legend of Zelda: Tears of the Kingdom, Diablo 4, Street Fighter 6, Final Fantasy 16, and Redfall. However, while Bloomberg sources did not provide an alternative release window, Jez Corden was told the game is now aiming for “Q4-ish 2023“. This would put Suicide Squad in competition with Starfield, Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth, and Marvel’s Spider-Man 2, so it won’t necessarily be a better situation.

An official announcement should emerge soon if the rumors are true, but treat this with a pinch of salt for now.
