The Elder Scrolls Online gets silly with Jester’s Festival next week

The Jester’s Festival is coming to Tamriel in The Elder Scrolls Online next week, offering up a plethora of in-game goodies and another chance to earn Event Tickets for the Impresario.

Between March 29th at 2pm GMT and April 6th at 2pm GMT, you’ll have the opportunity to complete daily Jester’s Festival quests in The Elder Scrolls Online, unlocking a heap of rewards in the process, as well as 24 lucrative Event Tickets.

The Elder Scrolls Online Jester’s Festival details

To get started with the Jester’s festival, all you need to do is head to a jester pavilion in Ebonheart, Vulkhel Guard, or Daggerfall and meet one of the jesters dressed as an Alliance leader — or keep it simple and just grab the free quest from the Crown Store. Once you’ve finished the introduction, you’ll be given the Pie of Misrule memento, which offers a 100{d0f68332078ae50ae5cd49ede95b9d76bcf00fa473a5a7068cdab9d644705628} XP boost for two hours and can be used as many times as you wish.

As with any Elder Scrolls Online event, the real reward comes from special loot boxes you find when completing specific quests or killing designated enemies. During this event, for every Jesters Festival quest you complete, you’ll earn a Jester’s Festival Box filled with a pile of goodies, while the first of those quests you complete each day will reward you with the even more loaded Stupendous Jester’s Festival Box.

This year the Jester’s Festival Boxes have a chance to contain:

  • A previously available Style Page
  • Broom Style Page
  • Bucket Style Page
  • Cadwell’s Kitchen Weapon Style Page (Stupendous Boxes only)
  • Cherry Blossom Branch Runebox (Stupendous Boxes only)
  • Cherry Blossom Confetti
  • Festive Dazzlers
  • Festive Furnishings
  • Festive Noise Maker parts (Stupendous Boxes only)
  • Jester’s Festival Provisioning Recipes
  • Jester’s Minstrel Daedroth costume Fragment (Stupendous Boxes only)
  • Jester’s Scintillator Runebox (Stupendous Boxes only)
  • Joke Popper Fragments (Stupendous Boxes only)
  • Last year’s Jester’s Festival Style Pages
  • Revelry Pies
  • Treasures

On top of the Jester’s Festival Boxes, you’ll earn three Event Tickets for the first event quest you complete each day. There will be 24 available and you can spend them at the Impresario, who’ll be stocking the following items:

  • All three Passion Dancer Blossom pet Fragments
  • All three Passion’s Muse personality Fragments
  • Broom Style Page
  • Bucket Style Page
  • Hide Shoulder Collectable
  • Jester’s Minstrel Daedroth costume Fragments

The Hide Shoulder Collectable, as the name suggests, offers you a way to hide your shoulder armour in the same way as your helmet, and will be introduced with Update 37 when The Scribes of Fate DLC arrives on March 28th. The game’s creative director told us in our exclusive The Elder Scrolls Online interview that smoother update rollouts are “definitely going to be a focus for the year ahead,” so here’s hoping the bugs will be kept to a minimum.
