Saber Interactive makes Evil Dead: The Game’s grindiest achievement easier
Back in September, Saber Interactive announced that it had ended development on Evil Dead: The Game, but will be keeping the servers online for the “foreseeable future.” The team is continuing to address any “major issues that arise,” but we won’t be getting any new content. Surprisingly, Saber has decided to leave us with a parting gift by switching on double XP and Soul Point gains permanently.
“Great news for our stalwart Survivors and dedicated Demons: you’ll earn Double XP & Soul Points in all game modes starting today until… until when? FOREVER!,” Saber said in a post on X. “As our thank you to the players, Double XP & Soul Points are now switched on permanently. Enjoy & Stay Groovy!”
When replying to a user on the post, the team reiterated that it has “no plans to close the servers anytime soon,” but we’d still suggest you start working through the Evil Dead: The Game achievements sooner rather than later to avoid any rushing when the servers do come down.
Estimates suggest it takes around 120 hours to unlock all 44 of the achievements, with the Groovy achievement for reaching the maximum user level (50) being one of the grindiest of the lot. Thankfully, that should now be far quicker with the double XP and Soul Points you’ll earn from each match.
In Evil Dead: The Game, experience points (XP) are awarded at the end of a match to level up the Survivor or Demon you played as and your overarching player level. Soul Points run adjacent to the experience point system and are also awarded at the end of each match (based on your performance), but can instead be spent on further leveling any Survivor or Demon.
Last year, Saber Interactive added a 40-player battle royale mode called Splatter Royale to Evil Dead: The Game.
