Microsoft’s Xbox 360 elite is an improved version of its predecessor Xbox 360; it comes with a couple of new features, including an improved look, which comes in a black color, as compared to it’s predecessor, which was in an off-white color. Apart from the changes in the apparent look, it comes with an upgraded HDD, i.e. 120 GB, and an HDMI 1.2 connector, which is highly compatible with the new high definition TVs, and the upgraded HDD allows you to store more data.

The HDMI feature, also allows you to play more high definition games, and the live services offer you an online multiplayer option, with voice chat. You can also download content for most of the games, online. The online market place option allows you purchase mini games, along with gaming content, and also offers you to download movies. The new Xbox 60 Elite also comes with an added feature of an optional High definition DVD player, which offers better graphics for the user.

Some critics don’t find Xbox 360 a good value of money, as it failed in removing the problems found in its predecessor. It still holds a noisy DVD player, and a huge power supply, with no option of wireless networking, the HD DVD player also is an add-on feature, which also contributes to the hugeness of the console. Online gaming requires paid subscriptions to Xbox live, which makes it a less purchasable item for the general gaming lovers. It also includes an A/V connector with a single USB port, and an Ethernet jack. Microsoft has added an adapter breakout cable with both options i.e. a high definition, and a normal definition connector. Audio quality can be varied by either using an optical connector for surround sound, or a normal connector for standard sound.
